I love me a good smoothie!! Especially as I am loathe to eat certain fruits and vegetables due to their texture. I can’t eat them but I can drink them.
Some people are gifted with the ability to throw in whatever, in whatever amounts, in a blender and it tastes delicious. My good friend Stephanie can do that. She effortlessly chops as she talks, throwing in ginger and grapefruit and a myriad of other ingredients and voila, a delicious and nutritious concoction. Stephanie made it look so easy. I get so excited that I run out, buy the ingredients, and try to recreate Stephanie’s off the cuff recipe.
EPIC FLOP!!
The flavors do not blend well and I am at a loss. My concoction doesn’t even look healthy. It is grey! And trust me, unlike in Beauty and the Beast, this grey stuff is not delicious!
Well, I am hoping that those days are behind me. I have been following Catherine McCord of Weelicious for almost a decade. I have loved many of the recipes she has posted throughout the years and am excited to start January off on the right foot with the Smoothie Project. Delicious and nutritious smoothies with the Weelicious stamp of approval. I will be sure to report back as to the recipes I particularly loved. Stay tuned.
